WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ACCOUNTANT AND A BOOKKEEPER?

Bookkeepers and accountants sometimes do the same work. But in general, a bookkeeper's first task is to record transactions and keep you financially organized, while accountants provide consultation, analysis, and are more qualified to advise on tax matters.

HOW LONG SHOULD I KEEP MY TAX RECORDS FOR?

You must keep your records for at least 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year. HM Revenue and Customs ( HMRC ) may check your records to make sure you're paying the right amount of tax.
